Running a class

You need an academic partner account first. Your Academic Partner dashboard shows your classes, how many cohorts are running and your total students.

  1. On the dashboard choose Create New Class.
  2. Give the class a name (up to 120 characters).
  3. Choose the courses for the class (a bundle of up to 20 courses). Learn.GT’s AI can suggest a bundle to curate the curriculum for your cohort.
  4. If you teach for an organization that has a licence, you can attach the class to it. Students who join then take a seat in that organization and get its licensed plan. You can only attach a class to an organization you teach for.
  5. Create it. You get an 8-character join code and a join link.

Independent instructors can create up to 2 classes until they verify their institution. You can create at most 10 classes an hour.

  • Share the join link or code. Students open it, sign in, and press Join this class. They appear in your roster. The code is the only thing protecting a class from strangers, so share it with your students only. Join attempts are rate limited.
  • Invite by email. Open the class and, under Invite students by email, paste addresses separated by commas, spaces or new lines. Students who already have an account are added. Others should sign up first and then use your join link; the page tells you which addresses had no account yet.

Students on a free class can use the free courses and labs. Paid content needs their own plan, or an organization seat if the class is attached to a licensed organization.

Each class page lists every student with lessons passed, quizzes taken, average score and last active, and the number of invited students who have not yet joined. Use Copy join link to resend the link.

Under Create an assignment give a title (up to 150 characters), optional instructions (up to 5,000 characters) and an optional due date. Students see it on their Assignments page, submit their work, and receive a score and feedback. Assignments without a date show “No due date”.

Export grades (CSV) on the class page, or Export Grades next to the class on your dashboard, downloads the class results as a CSV you can open in a spreadsheet.

Certificates earned by your students can show an “In partnership with” line naming your institution when you are a verified partner.
