Settings
The Settings page is organized into tabs grouped as Monitoring, Admin, and Config. Everyone on the account can view Settings, but changes are restricted to Superadmins — other roles see the same tabs marked read-only.
Dark/light theme is a personal preference rather than a Settings tab — use the sun/moon icon in the top header to switch. It’s remembered per-browser, defaults to dark, and is separate from the tenant-wide accent color/logo branding configured under Organisation below.
Alert thresholds
Section titled “Alert thresholds”Set the warning and critical levels (as percentages, or °C for temperature) that trigger alerts for CPU, memory, disk, and thermal sensors across your fleet. This tab also controls how long a device can go silent before it’s marked offline, the dedup window that prevents duplicate alerts for the same issue, and the hourly rate/currency used to estimate the “downtime cost” figure shown on the dashboard.
Notifications & email
Section titled “Notifications & email”Configure Telegram and WhatsApp delivery, plus a full SMTP setup (with presets for Gmail, Outlook/M365, Amazon SES, Mailgun, and Brevo) or Resend as an email provider. Add one or more alert recipient addresses and send a test notification per channel to confirm delivery. See Notification Channels for details on how each channel behaves.
Email reports
Section titled “Email reports”Schedule a recurring fleet health summary — device counts, uptime, alerts fired, average CPU/memory, and a per-device table — delivered weekly or monthly to a list of recipients. You can also send a test report immediately without waiting for the schedule.
Add Device
Section titled “Add Device”Generate enrollment tokens for installing the Guardian agent, with a label, a device limit, an expiry, and an optional department to auto-assign new devices to. See Enrollment Links & Tokens for the full workflow, including the faster one-off Deploy Agent flow.
Status page
Section titled “Status page”Turn on a public status page (no login required) that shows your fleet’s health and any uptime checks you configure — each check runs every 60 seconds and can also trigger alerts when a service goes down.
Four kinds of check are available:
- HTTP check — requests a URL and confirms it returns the status code you expect.
- Browser transaction — runs in a real browser and can navigate, fill in fields, click, wait for something to appear, and confirm the page contains specific text, so you can check that a login flow (or any multi-step process) still actually works, not just that the server responds. Build one by adding steps in order; a screenshot from the run is kept for each result so you can see exactly what the check saw, whether it passed or failed.
- Ping — sends a real ICMP echo request to a hostname or IP, agentless (no Guardian agent needs to be installed on the target). Good for routers, switches, printers, and other devices that don’t run a web server.
- TCP port — opens and closes a real TCP connection to a host and port, agentless. Good for confirming a service is listening — SSH, RDP, a database, a mail relay — anywhere there’s an open port but no HTTP endpoint.
Ping and TCP checks only accept a bare hostname or IP (no http://), and both refuse loopback, link-local, and other non-routable addresses as targets.
Agents
Section titled “Agents”Superadmins can review every registered agent and, for any of them, force it offline or deregister it. Deregistering permanently deletes the device and all its telemetry, alerts, and asset history — this can’t be undone.
A quick administrative view of your team: role, last login, and status for each user. From here a Superadmin can revoke all of a user’s active sessions or reset their password (which also revokes their sessions). Adding, suspending, or changing roles and permissions happens on the Users & Roles page.
Organisation
Section titled “Organisation”Set your organisation name, logo, and accent color — white-label branding, most useful if you’re an MSP reselling Guardian under your own brand. The logo replaces the stock Guardian logo in the sidebar (for everyone on your tenant, on their next page load) and on generated reports. The accent color recolors buttons, links, and highlights across the whole app to match your brand. This tab also has Generate Data Export — a full ZIP archive of your agents, users, alert history, and audit logs, emailed to you as a secure download link once it’s ready.
Platform
Section titled “Platform”Read-only account and hub information: version, runtime, database connection (masked), uptime, and the three monitoring tiers Guardian runs — Pulse (10-second core metrics), Bones (30-minute hardware/thermal/SMART checks), and Brain (daily network discovery).
