Rate Limits
Two limits apply to every request — either can produce a 429:
- A flat, IP-based limit of 600 requests/minute, shared across all public API traffic.
- A per-tenant limit based on your plan, refilled continuously rather than reset on a fixed window:
| Plan | Burst | Sustained |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 60 | 1 req/sec |
| Starter | 600 | 10 req/sec |
| Professional | 3000 | 50 req/sec |
| Enterprise | 6000 | 100 req/sec |
A 429 response includes a Retry-After header, in seconds:
{ "error": "rate limit exceeded for your subscription tier" }Back off and retry after that many seconds rather than retrying immediately.
