Quickstart for learners
1. Create an account and sign in
Section titled “1. Create an account and sign in”Open learn.gtarsenals.com and choose Sign in. After signing in you land on your Dashboard. If you were sent to the sign-in page from a link (for example a class link), you return to that page afterwards.
2. Find something to learn
Section titled “2. Find something to learn”- Browse courses at Courses. Each course shows its level and which plan it needs.
- Search from the search box, or use the Task Finder on the home page, a row of shortcuts for common jobs such as “Configure VLANs”, “Configure OSPF”, “Fix DHCP” and “Fix Internet access”.
- New to networking? Start with a free course such as Networking Foundations, IT Support Fundamentals or Security Foundations.
3. Take a lesson
Section titled “3. Take a lesson”Open a lesson, read it, try its lab if it has one, answer the self-check questions, then press Mark as Complete. Completing a lesson records your progress and earns 10 XP, once per lesson. See Courses and lessons.
On a paid course you can read and try the first lesson for free as a preview. Progress, XP, the tutor, exams and certificates need a paid plan.
4. Ask for help
Section titled “4. Ask for help”- Ask GT is the built-in tutor. See Ask GT, the tutor.
- The Forum is for questions to the community.
- A support ticket reaches the Learn.GT team. See Community and support.
5. When you are ready to prove it
Section titled “5. When you are ready to prove it”Paid plans let you take a test-out exam and earn a certificate anyone can verify online. See Exams and certificates and Plans and billing.
