Scheduler
The Scheduler runs recurring maintenance actions on your agents on a cron schedule. Every job requires consent before execution — safe actions run automatically, riskier ones wait for approval.
Creating a job
Section titled “Creating a job”Superadmins can create a job from Scheduled Automation → + New Job, setting:
- Name and optional description
- Action — see supported actions below
- Target — all online agents, or one specific agent
- Schedule — a cron expression, either typed directly or picked from presets (every hour, daily at 2am, weekly, weekdays at 9am, every 15 minutes, monthly). Guardian shows a plain-English description of the schedule as you edit it.
Supported actions
Section titled “Supported actions”| Action | Risk tier |
|---|---|
| Rotate & compress logs | Safe — runs automatically |
| Clear temp files | Safe — runs automatically |
| Drop OS page cache | Safe — runs automatically |
| Restart a service | Safe — runs automatically |
| Capture diagnostic snapshot | Moderate — requires approval in Pending Actions |
Managing jobs
Section titled “Managing jobs”Each job shows its status (enabled/disabled), target, schedule, next run time, last run time, and total run count. From the job list you can:
- Enable or disable a job
- Delete a job
- View its run history — a per-agent log of each run’s status (queued, running, executed, failed) with results
Superadmins can also select multiple jobs to enable, disable, or delete them in bulk. Only Superadmins can create, edit, toggle, or delete jobs; other roles can view the job list and run history.

Section titled “Related pages”Jobs whose action requires approval appear in Pending Actions alongside actions from Guardian’s self-healing engine.
