Organizations and seats
An organization is a school, university, company, bootcamp or other group that licenses seats on Learn.GT. A seated learner gets the plan the organization licenses (Pro, or Pro + Mentorship with the advanced courses), including exams and certificates, without buying it themselves.
Institutions can start from the Campus page (/campus), which has a short enquiry form for departments and companies. Instructors can run a free pilot class before an organization buys seats.
Roles in an organization
Section titled “Roles in an organization”| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including changing members’ roles. |
| Admin | Manage seats and the licence, invite people, see the roster and export progress. |
| Instructor | See learners’ progress. |
| Learner | Uses a seat. Sees their own seat and can leave. |
Your organizations page
Section titled “Your organizations page”Open Organizations (/org). It lists each organization you belong to and your role. For each one it shows the licence state:
- Licence active: seats work.
- Licence expired or suspended: licensed access is paused. Members keep any plan they bought themselves.
- Pending: waiting for activation.
Owners, admins and instructors also see seats used, people active this week, lessons completed, when the licence ends, and a member table with exams passed and last active.
Seats and licences
Section titled “Seats and licences”Owners and admins can buy seats, add seats to a running licence, or renew. You choose the number of seats (up to 5,000) and the length: 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Learn.GT prices the order itself, from its payment provider’s own Pro plan price (with an annual rate where one exists), and applies it only after the provider confirms payment. Adding seats to a running licence is priced for the months left on it.
Invite people
Section titled “Invite people”- Under Invite people, paste email addresses (commas, spaces or new lines; up to 100 at a time).
- Choose the role: Learner (uses a seat) or Instructor (sees progress). Only an owner can also invite an Admin.
- Send. Each person gets a one-time link tied to their email address.
Invitations expire, and are paused while the licence is not active. Pending invitations are listed so you can see who has not accepted.
Accepting an invitation
Section titled “Accepting an invitation”Open the link in the email while signed in with the invited address. A learner sees a clear statement that the organization will be able to see their learning progress (courses, lessons and exam results), and must accept it. Learners can leave the organization at any time from their organization page.
Manage members
Section titled “Manage members”Only an owner can change a member’s role. Owners and admins can remove members, but only an owner can remove an owner. Use Export progress (CSV) for a spreadsheet of members’ progress.
Attach a class to an organization
Section titled “Attach a class to an organization”A lecturer who teaches for the organization can attach a class to it when creating the class, so students who join take a seat. See Running a class.
